Her Excellency Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam chaired the 16th meeting of the Cabinet held on Tuesday, 26 May and Wednesday, 27 May 2026 at the Premier’s Office, Providenciales. All members of Cabinet were present with the exception of the Hon. Rhondalee Knowles, with Khalila Astwood sitting as acting Attorney General.
At this meeting Cabinet:

Approved the Statutory Bodies 4th Quarter Special Purpose Financial Report

Noted the outcome of recent engagements between the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI)/United Kingdome (UK) and The Bahamas regarding the maritime boundary South of Point 1.

Noted the Report of the 2025 Turks and Caicos Islander Status Commission.

Approved the issuance of a dredging Licence to an establishment pursuant to the Mineral (Exploration and Exploitation) Ordinance.

Approved the Crown Land (Residential Conditional Purchase lease) (Arrears and Mesne Profit) (Amnesty) (Amendment) Bill 2026 to proceed to the next sitting of Parliament.

Noted the Multi-sector Regulator Policy changes and Development of Draft Legislation for the creation of the Multisector Regulatory Authority (MsRA)

Approved execution of a Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding Amongst Competent Authorities within the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force

Approved the renewal of the Catastrophic Risk Insurance Facility Tropical Cyclone.

Approved the Turks and Caicos Islands Secondary Employment and Private Engagement Policy.

Approved a project related to the Royal Reef Development Agreement.

Approved a restated Development Agreement and Development Order for BBF Cooper Jack Ltd.

Approved amendments to the Road Traffic (Amendment) Bill 2026.

Approved Planning Application PR 19048.

Approved the Ministry of Physical Planning and Infrastructure Development entering into a lease agreement for office accommodations.

Approved the Estates Management Department/Ministry of Physical Planning and Infrastructure Development entering into a lease agreement for the National Audit Office.

Approved the transitional policy considerations in relation to Biometrics in Immigration Management.

Noted the Report on the Public Consultation for the Immigration Bill 2025.

Noted the proposed amendment to the RERP Bill and next steps.

Approved the establishment of the Infrastructure Regularization Framework

Approved the amendments to the Mortgage Corporation Bill for submission to Parliament.

Approved the appointments to the TCI Gaming Control Commission for a period of 2 years commencing on June 1st 2026.
