Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – Thursday, 18th June 2026: The Ministry of Finance, Economic Development, Investment and Trade wishes to advise the public that commercial air service between Grand Turk and South Caicos will be temporarily discontinued effective June 18, 2026.
The Turks and Caicos Islands Government (TCIG) wishes to advise the public that it is cognizant of the importance of air service for this route and wishes to assure all residents and stakeholders that this matter is being keenly worked on by all involved parties.
The Ministry is working diligently to assess the available options for resuming reliable air connectivity for this route, which is subsidized by the TCIG. Negotiations remain actively underway to solidify continuous air service between Grand Turk and South Caicos.
The Government recognizes the necessity of inter-island connectivity to the daily lives of residents and particularly for the delivery of essential services. Every effort is being made to finalize appropriate arrangements as expeditiously as possible. Further updates will be provided in due course.
To note, this does not the affect the commercial air service for Grand Turk and Salt Cay, which has continued without disruption.
