COVID 19 Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines

 

The Ministry of Health, Agriculture Sports and Human Services in fulfilling its role of protecting the health of its residents, has developed a number of standard operating procedures and guidelines to assist the phased reopening of the Turks and Caicos Islands. These guidelines will not only impact on the way we do business going forwards but will also make significant improvements in the way we operate for the good of public health.

 

The guidelines and standard operating procedures were developed to establish operational procedures for preparedness and response to COVID-19 based on risks identified by the Ministry of Health. These multi-sectoral standard operating procedures and guidelines aim to ensure the prevention of COVID-19 spread through the use of public health measures. They ensure preparedness and readiness for a timely, consistent and coordinated response.

Let's continue to reduce the risk of COVID-19 by:

  1. Washing our hands for 20 seconds or more with soap and water regularly throughout the day
  2. 2. Practicing social distancing
  3. Covering your coughs and sneezes
  4. Staying at home if you are sick
  5. Call the Health hotlines if you have a cough, fever or shortness of breath
  6. Prepare your home, office and other surroundings by following the advice of the Ministry of Health and other credible health agencies.
