Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – Monday, 20th July 2026: The Premier today announced an important milestone in the establishment of the Mortgage Corporation, with the appointment of the Corporation's Board now complete.
This represents significant progress towards the Corporation becoming fully operational by the end of the year. The Board will now begin the work necessary to mobilize the organization, establish its governance and operational framework, and ensure it is ready to deliver on its mandate.
The Premier also confirmed that the final legislative amendments required to support the Mortgage Corporation have been agreed with the Financial Services Commission (FSC) and will shortly be on its way to the Cabinet and Parliament for passage.
"The appointment of the Board marks another significant step forward in delivering the Mortgage Corporation," the Premier said. "With the governance structure now in place and the final legislative framework agreed, we remain on track to have the Corporation mobilized by the end of the year. This initiative is a key part of our commitment to expanding access to affordable financing, supporting homeownership, and strengthening our housing sector."
The Government will continue working closely with the Board, the Financial Services Commission, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful establishment and launch of the Mortgage Corporation.
