CASH GRANTS TO ELIGIBLE PUBLIC SERVICE TRANSPORT LICENSE HOLDERS – DATABASE FOR SUBMISSIONS OPENS TODAY
The Turks and Caicos Islands Government has today, Monday, 26th October, 2020, opened the database to accept online submissions from Public Service Ground Transport Operators; many of whom were impacted by the economic fallout emanating from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Coronavirus Ground Transport Sector Business Assistance Grant is one element of a suite of grants that the Turks and Caicos Islands Government will be offering to assist residents and businesses alike that have been impacted financially by this worldwide pandemic. It will provide cash grants of up to $1,200.00 to taxi drivers, community cab drivers and private charter (reserve) drivers.
Applications will be received online by the Ministry of Finance as of 26th October 2020 until 2nd November, 2020; unless otherwise directed by the Permanent Secretary of Finance.
Applicants are advised that incomplete applications will not be processed. Therefore, it is important that you ensure that you read the instructions on how to fill the application to understand clearly what is needed, inclusive of the evidence to be provided.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome as soon as possible following the submission of their applications. Successful applicants will receive an approval letter issued by the Ministry of Finance, Trade and Investment.
A single payment will be made by the Government Treasury directly to the applicant via cheque or direct credit to nominated bank account within two (2) weeks of the date on the letter of approval.
