The Minister of Education, Youth, Culture, Social and Library Services welcomes all returning students

 

Honourable Karen Malcolm, Minister of Education, officially welcomed returning students from the UK and other territories who recently returned home after being stranded due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hon. Malcolm commented; “On behalf of the Ministry of Education, I take this opportunity to welcome all our returning students home. We thank you for your patience during the past weeks as the Ministry of Tourism along with the Governor’s office worked the logistics on getting flights in Country”.

 

The Hon. Malcolm also remarked that she admonishes the students to adhere to the protocols issued by the Ministry of Health, which were made to keep you safe and healthy.  She commented that; “Your Government is here for you and we encourage you to relax yourselves and enjoy the fourteen days of quarantine at the locations provided for you”.

 

The Minister wants to encourage the students to continue to keep in constant contact with their Colleges and Universities, so that you will be informed as to what will happen during 2020-2021 Academic year.  She is most excited as many of the students for another school year with endless possibilities for achievement and success without the stress of COVID-19.  She emboldens the students to stay safe and well.
