Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – Tuesday, 10th March 2026: The Ministry of Finance, Economic Development, Investment and Trade wishes to advise the public that commercial air services are temporarily discontinued between Grand Turk and South Caicos effective March 1, 2026.
The Turks and Caicos Islands Government (TCIG) is aware of concerns regarding the temporary discontinuation of air service and wishes to assure all residents and stakeholders that this matter is receiving the Government’s full attention.
The Ministry is working diligently to assess the available options for restoring reliable air connectivity for this route, which is subsidized by the TCIG. The relevant tender process is also under review, and the Government is committed to ensuring that it is conducted in a fair, transparent, and efficient manner.
The Government recognises the importance of inter-island connectivity to the daily lives of residents and particularly for the delivery of essential services. Every effort is being made to finalise appropriate arrangements as expeditiously as possible, and further updates will be provided to the public once the review and award process has been completed.
To note, this does not affect the commercial air service for Grand Turk and Salt Cay, which has continued without disruption.
The TCIG thanks the public for their patience and understanding as it works to resolve this matter and restore services to affected communities.
