MINISTRY OF EDUCATION ANNOUNCES 2020 LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARDEES

The Ministry of Education, Youth, Culture, Social & Library Services is pleased to announce the number of local awards available to applicants. The Education Advisory Committee met during August to review all local applications received.

Thirty-Seven (37) local awardees were successful based on the identified priority areas, grade point averages and other policy related criteria. In total, the Educational Advisory Committee considered forty two (42) local applications.

Hon. Karen Malcolm, Ministry of Education, Youth, Culture, Social and Library Services states, “Congratulations to all recipients who were successful in obtaining a scholarship for local studies. Our Government values Education and is investing in it. I encourage all awardees to remain focus, do your best, stay committed and you will reap your reward.” Hon. Malcolm further extends a profound thank you to all the members of the Education Advisory Committee for their dedication to complete this year’s review of applications, and subsequent list of awardees.

The Ministry urges applicants who may not have been successful to re-apply to the Secretariat for possible consideration in the future.

Award letters was submitted as of October 30^th 2020. Due to the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic letters will be emailed to ALL scholarship applicants, including scholarship awardees and those that were not successful this
