Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – Monday, 2nd February 2026: The Department of Trade, Industry and Fair Competition will be in South Caicos on February 3rd, 2026, hosting a consumer awareness outreach at Seaview Supermarket, located on Butterfield Street.
This initiative forms part of the Department’s ongoing efforts to educate and inform the public about their rights and responsibilities under the Consumer Protection Ordinance, which was introduced in the Turks and Caicos Islands in 2016. The objective of the Ordinance is to protect consumers’ interests in the delivery of goods and services and to promote fair trading practices across the country.
Residents of South Caicos are encouraged to stop by and take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about consumer rights, seek clarification on the Ordinance, and engage directly with the Department.
