DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
The Department of Social Development, Ministry of Education, Youth, Culture, Social and Library Services is pleased to announce that the first batch of payments for the Social Enhancement Aid COVID-19 Stimulus, in the form of food vouchers, will be distributed to recipients Friday, 15 May 2020.
The successful recipients will receive food vouchers in the amount of $200 for a period of three months. This will allow persons to purchase needed food items for their families from the various identified grocery stores on their respective island who have collaborated with DSD in our public private partnership. Some of the recipients of the S.E.A Stimulus are the parents of children throughout the TCI who were on the school feeding programmes.
Team Social Development from across the TCI have been vigorously assisting persons in applying online or manually completing the applications.
Please be reminded that the criteria for applying include:
- TCI Status Card (in the absence of this we require two letters; one from pastor and another from a reputable person who can verify your nationality)
- Government issued identification (NHIP, NIB, Passport or Driver’s license)
- Copy of expenses (rent/mortgage, electricity, water bill) where applicable
- Income (job letter with income or recent pay-slip) where applicable

f you are currently on one of Social Development financial programmes or if you are a recipient of the Ministry of Finance, Hospitality Industry or Small Business Stimulus Programmes, you will not be able to benefit from the Social Enhancement Aid Covid 19 Stimulus from the Department of Social Development.
