CLASS OF 2020 HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION RESULTS
The Ministry of Education extends profound congratulations to the Graduating Class of 2020 for the success obtained during their tenure in secondary school.
The Class of 2020 comprises a total of 307 future leaders of the Turks and Caicos Islands. In keeping with the Education Policy 2005; 285 students are recommended for graduation, which means they will receive a School Leaving Certificate or a High School Diploma. Twenty-two students are recommended for a Statements of Attendance; noting that they have completed five years of high school but have not satisfied the criteria to receive a certificate or a diploma.
The overall graduation rate for 2020 is 92.83%, which is a slight increase above the rate for 2019. However,Your attention is drawn to the fact that the Class of 2020 records more students receiving diplomas with credit and diplomas with pass compared to last year’s results. The number of students receiving School Leaving Certificates and Statements of Attendance are roughly the same as in 2019.

The Minister of Education, Honourable Karen Malcolm extends congratulations to the Class of 2020 and noted that their success is not obscured by our inability to host the traditional island wide graduation celebrations. She stated, “We are so proud of you. Your resilience and ability to adapt during this pandemic indicates that you have the skills and determination to fulfill your dreams and aspirations.”
Hon. Malcolm also extends congratulations to the parents of the graduates and wishes them well in their future endeavors.
